OVERVIEW

Godspeed Shield ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that blocks access to specified websites. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

DATA WE COLLECT

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

• Blocked site count (a running integer counter)
• Installation date (used to calculate your days-protected streak)
• Custom blocked domains you have added
• Custom focus messages you have written (Overlord tier only)
• Your license tier (Recruit, Infantry, or Overlord)

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

• We do not collect, transmit, or store your browsing history
• We do not collect personally identifiable information
• We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts
• We do not share any data with third parties
• We do not have access to any data stored locally on your device

NETWORK REQUESTS

Infantry and Overlord tier users have the AI blocklist feature enabled. This causes the Extension to make one outbound HTTPS request per day to a publicly hosted JSON file at raw.githubusercontent.com to retrieve an updated list of domains to block. No user data is sent in this request.

PERMISSIONS

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• declarativeNetRequest — to block and redirect requests to specified domains
• storage — to save your settings and stats locally on your device
• tabs — to open the Stripe payment page in a new tab when you click an upgrade button
• alarms — to schedule the daily blocklist refresh for Infantry+ users
• host_permissions (<all_urls>) — required by Chrome to evaluate declarativeNetRequest rules against all URLs

LICENSE KEYS

License keys are validated entirely client-side using a cryptographic HMAC algorithm. No key data is transmitted to any server. Your license tier is stored locally on your device.

PAYMENTS

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you click a purchase button, you are directed to Stripe's hosted payment page. Godspeed Shield does not handle or store any payment card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The Extension is designed to protect users from harmful content and is suitable for all ages.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
